Delta of Venus Life Drawing Turns Quirky with Jungle Animal Theme.
Following three months of packed out sessions at Delta of Venus Life Drawing Club, May’s theme is going a little crazy! The first Delta of Venus Life Drawing Club session was 1920s elegance, followed by a 1950s Australian beach scene, and, in April, there was another sell-out night when Delta of Venus Life Drawing Club stepped further back in time to embrace the Victorian era. May’s theme moves away from the usual classic beauty of by-gone eras and into a world of quirky critters. The theme is Jungle Animal, with fur, feathers, tails, whiskers, and paws. The model will begin the evening dressed head to toe in animal print and patterns, then slowly remove item after item until she poses in traditional art-nude. The night will tap into the depths of the jungle playing a selection of jungle-beats, and serving up a jungle cocktail. Who knows maybe even a shaman will make an appearance?
Delta of Venus Life Drawing is not just about the fine art of capturing the human body (or animal features), it is an experience in itself. From the animal-inspired costumes, to the traditional life drawing nude, themed cocktail, and special selection of the jungle beats through a portable gramophone. This selection of music is chosen by Brisbane composer Michael Medlycott, aka Jazzbot. Delta of Venus aims to provide you and your drawing comrades with an experience beyond just making art! The drawing club provides the space for a quality catch up, a few post-work jungle drinks, and step out side today’s reality and into the depths of the Amazon, or more appropriately the Daintree.
Delta Of Venus Life Drawing Club promise another wonderful evening of laughs, creativity, and of course, making memories.
